The information presented within this website regarding the location of hazardous roadways and intersections was provided by Departments of Transportation of the states to which they apply. The use of this information is governed by Title 23 U.S.C., Section 409. Under this law, data maintained for purposes of evaluating potential highway safety enhancements:

"… shall not be subject to discovery or admitted into evidence in a federal or state court proceeding or considered for other purposes in an action for damages arising from any occurrence at a location addressed in such reports, surveys, schedules, lists, or data." [Emphasis added.]

Therefore, this material may not be used for purposes outside the scope of our highway safety and educational program.
